TLDR:
- Rise does not allow you to reward for social or engagement activities - only purchases or referrals
- Rise does not allow you to create a variety of different tier structures - you can only create tiers based on spend.
- Rise gives minimal access to customer data making hard to communicate to your customer
- Rise analytics do not help you make thoughtful decisions to increase your RPR and LTV
- Rise has very few integrations as they are focused mainly on gift cards
- Rise does not cover other aspects of retention such as Paid Memberships, Wallet Passes and more
Minimal Ways to Reward Your Customers
Rise does not have many out of the box reward activities. The only rewards you can give are for purchases or referrals. If you are looking to engage your community in more ways and activate to do more things - like sign up for subscriptions, stay on subscriptions, be engaged on social media, etc. Rise is not the right platform.

Toki Activities in the platform:
Activities with Toki can be:
- Scheduled
- Limited (daily, weekly, monthly, one time)
- Segmented (reward different people with different amounts)
- Rewarded with points, discounts, gifts or collectibles
Tier Structuring
With Rise, Tiers are only able to be structured based on spend. If you wanted to create a VIP program where tiers are determined by - how much store credit someone has, how many referrals they've made, how long they have been on subscription, how many orders they've placed, etc. Rise would not be the right platform.
How this looks in the Toki platform:
Minimal Details on the customers
With Rise, you get minimal viewership or control over your customers. With Toki, there is advanced customer segmentation so you can take a deep look at each user, create segments based on their behaviors and use it in your marketing automation.
Toki syndicated bilaterally with CRM data to maximize your segmented outcomes.
Toki's Customer Profiles:
Inability to Customize Settings
With Toki you have more customization within the program:
Settings | Toki | Rise |
Allow you to control discount stackability | X
Allow store credit expiration | X
Multicurrency | X | |
Translations | X | |
Points branding | X | |
Tier Stacking | X | |
Cash out | X | X |
Giftcards | X | |
Product Rewards | X |
Design Customization minimal:
With Rise, you have the ability to have a "Rewards widget", Rewards Page, checkout widget and account widget with balance, but that is it. There are no other ways to communicate to your customer about your rewards program making it hard for your customers to know, what they have and how to use their credits. Each of these have very minimal customization.
Toki has over 20 onsite components to choose from:
Minimal Integrations:
Toki has over 19 integrations, whereas Rise only has twelve. The integrations they have are a bit different than Toki's as they are more focused on store credit and gift card syndication versus loyalty/rewards.

Lacking Analytics:
Rise has minimal analytics to allow for tracking of the success of your loyalty program.
Toki Analytics:

- Co-creation portals! Allowing your customers to vote on brand related decisions and have their votes count based on their tier!
- Gamification i.e. Challenges, Quests, treasure hunts, Leaderboards
- Wishlists
- Apple Wallet Passes (+ push notifications)
